Hola! I'm Jennifer Johnston-Jones, founder of ArtVida. I'm an Artist, Psychologist, World Traveler and Life-Long Learner. I've traveled to more than 40 countries. Being fluent in Spanish and Portuguese since I was young helps me to connect to the places I'm visiting in an authentic way. However, although I loved speaking in the local language I couldn't help but crave a deeper learning experience from the places I was visiting. I was traveling to the most beautiful and luxurious resorts like the Aman and Four Seasons but felt like I was missing being a part of the culture and learning something along the way. One night I couldn't sleep as the idea hit me: why not bring together my passion for art, luxury immersive travel, and learning into one? Therefore, with great joy I bring you ArtVida, a collection of curated retreats that will leave you with personal growth, connection, and an experience that is likely to change your life. Please feel free to email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org

Charles Andrade MA Painting & Art Therapy, Tobias School of Art & Therapy, Forest Row, ENGLAND
Charles Andrade paints in the colorist style that has evolved from his initial training in painting and art therapy, which he studied in England at Tobias School of Art & Therapy. With an in depth understanding of Goethean color theory, his artwork utilizes many washes of translucent color glaze that express the dynamic movement of light, color and darkness. Andrade took a break from the large, fluid painting format to investigate chalk pastel painting while living in France creating a series of pastel paintings depicting the Côte d'Azur mountain villages. His artwork can be found in private collections in North America, Europe, and New Zealand. Andrade has owned and operated Lazure Custom Wall Designs for over 25 years - a mural and decorative painting business, specializing in a unique European glazing finish called Lazure that creates healing interior environments. Charles teaches fine art classes, lectures, and offers Lazure and painting workshops worldwide. For more information about Charles Andrade: www.lazure.com (http://www.lazure.com/)
“The fluid quality of the color is very important as it mirrors the transcendent quality of the human soul. Much like a true process of thinking, where one begins with a hazy idea of what one wants to focus on with the mind, gradually the spiraling process of creation intensifies from the light to the darkness of a concrete thought or the material end of a painting…In the pastel medium, I am interested in the form of things, opaque color and how value creates the forms I am trying to define. I see it as a balance to the ethereal large scale wall and canvas work I do otherwise: contraction and expansion, two principles of human life and being.”
